Why We Need The Fear Of The Lord

 Job 28:28

“And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to depart from evil is understanding.’”


Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.



The fear of the Lord is about honoring the one who created you and who has saved you from yourself. We live in a world where respect is only given to those who are rich, famous, or powerful. Money cannot give you real peace or joy, being famous often isolates the person who is famous from everything and everyone else, and the power of man is an illusion; true power comes from being in a relationship with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.


We need to be aware of who He is and what He has saved us from.  People do not really like to talk about evil or its effect on the world. Non believers tend to play down the slow destruction that we see in the world today. We cannot save the world or ourselves, but that is a tough pill for many to swallow. Some like to believe that if they have more knowledge, more power, more resources, more positive mental energy that the smoke of the fire in the distance of our own making will just magically disappear.


God is looking for those who are willing to acknowledge His presence and have faith in Him. The beginning of real knowledge and wisdom comes when we realize that we cannot change our hearts without the strong, gentle, sweet presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Without that driving force guiding our thoughts and decisions, we cannot hope to succeed in life according to God's word and His standards.

Success in God means to respect who He is and to give our lives to Him. It means loving Him and to be willing to obey Him. It means acknowledging that there is someone more powerful than we could ever be. It means worship, prayer, and praise given to Him on a daily basis. It means practicing the fear of the Lord.

Don't Worry, Be Patient

 Proverbs Chapter 3 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.


It is hard sometimes not to worry; we need a little reassurance from the Lord when things seem bleak. The toughest times are the right times to exercise your faith, your conviction about the one who loves you and who saved you, Jesus Christ.

The Lord gave this message to me after I thought about everything that has happened in the last 10 days. He told me in my heart, "Don't worry, be patient". It is hard not to get a little anxious what with all that has happened in the past year. Much of what happened I would never have thought could ever happen in America. I was not prepared for the blatant takeover of all of our lives by God's enemy, the devil.


We know that truth and justice will reign because God will not exist anywhere where there is no truth or justice.


These are the times when we must pray and meditate on God's word. We need to be serious about our profession of faith. We can feel fear and anxiety sometimes, and anyone who says they have never been afraid sometime in their life is lying to everyone else and also possibly to themselves. It is what we do with our fears and doubts that make the difference.


If we give in to despair, the devil wins and we cannot be effective tools in the hand of God, but if we decide that we will believe in Jesus Christ and in His word, and give all of our fears and doubts to Him, He will heal our hearts and restore our souls with peace, joy, and love.

God says to His children, "Don't worry, be patient", because He is at work in this land and in the world to restore our hopes, to bring victory to His people, and to delivery justice by His hand so that the world will finally have indisputable truth that there is a GOD in HEAVEN and that HE reigns with absolute authority.


Whatever HE allows is for our own good, and whatever HE CONQUERS will NEVER stand up TO FIGHT AGAIN!

Never give up, Never give in

 
John Chapter 6 53-69

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down  from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.


On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”

Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.  He went on to say,“This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

“You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”


We are here to be ambassadors to the world, to show the light of Jesus Christ
in a dark world. We are not here to promote the world's idea of a perfect world
or their ideas of what a perfect civilization should be.

We need to believe in the person who saved us, Jesus Christ. We need to show
love and kindness to others, but most the most important thing that we need
to do is keep our loyalty to the Lord and to live according to God's word.

Whether in good times or bad, whether we have a lot of things or very little
in possessions, whether we are rich or poor, the only valuable thing that
is necessary to live this life is a close and intimate relationship with
the God who created us. Everything else is just an illusion.

Let us pray for the people of God, let us keep the hope of glory in our hearts.
Let us allow the Holy Spirit to comfort us in the the midst of darkness and confusion.
Let us pray for the people who are still living in the darkness that
they may be saved, for there is very little time left for redemption in Jesus Christ.

Keep praying for God's will to be done in this country, especially in Washington DC.
Regardless of what you see going on there right now, God is still in charge, and
whatever the outcome, His justice will be served.


Please pray for those whose lives have been upset because the world does not want
to hear what they have to say about the real state of affairs in this country. People
are being persecuted for their unpopular ideas, and just in case you do not know, that means
the christian point of view as well. Pray that they will keep the faith and call
on the Lord for help in these times of distress.


PRAY FOR THE DELIVERANCE OF GOD'S PEOPLE AND THAT JUSTICE WILL REIGN IN THE EARTH!

It's Never Over When You Are In Jesus Christ

 2 Chronicles chapter 20 15-17

 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.  Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.  You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

 

 

When does the Lord fight your battles on your behalf? Every single day, but sometimes we feel like we are in the battle by ourselves. We feel let down and depressed, and then we think the Lord doesn't see our struggles; we feel defeated. But that is the place the Lord needs us to be so that we would stop focusing on our problems and begin to focus upon Him as the perfect solution that we have been waiting for.

Many times it is not easy to wait for God's answer, but waiting is part of the solution. We don't know the right time for the answer to our prayers to manifest itself in our lives, but God does. If the answer to your prayer is yes, He will wait until the right time to make it happen, and it will be a complete victory for you and God will get all of the glory! 

God told me to write this at this time because He wants you to know that He is aware of what is happening in America right now, and that it is time for all of our prayers to be answered. You will be surprised how He will answer our needs  in this country, because Justice will be done, and justice is not always nice and neat or pretty, but it is fulfilling.

We have to believe that He knows what is best for us, and that ungodly political agendas will not be able to take over the world without His authority - keeping our focus upon Him is what will keep us calm and peaceful within our hearts as the rest of the world loses sight of what is really important . We are the children of the most High God, so we need to show what is special about the Kingdom of God by living according to His word, and then allow Him to work through us with our prayers and our faith. 

This is the time that we need to show the whole world why we believe in Him and how much we trust Him with our lives and with our circumstances.

Keep on praying to Him - Keep on praising Him - Keep up your worship and devotion time with Him, and Keep on showing the Love of God that resides in our hearts to those who are lost in the darkness, who are unable to the see the light of God except that they see it in our eyes and in our lives. 

KEEP HOPE ALIVE MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN CHRIST, BECAUSE  WE ARE ABOUT TO SEE THE LIVING GOD SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT IN THE LIVES OF EVERYONE ON THIS EARTH!

It's The Fear That Hampers Our Victory

 2 Kings Chapter 13:14-20

 Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. “My father! My father!” he cried. “The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha said, “Get a bow and some arrows,” and he did so. “Take the bow in your hands,” he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands. “Open the east window,” he said, and he opened it. “Shoot!” Elisha said, and he shot. “The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!” Elisha declared. “You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek.”

Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped.  The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.” Elisha died and was buried...

 

There are many verses in scriptures in the bible that I didn't fully understand, and thank God over the years my understanding has increased. This passage was one of that I did not fully understand. The prophet Elisha instructed the king to shoot arrows into the ground to demonstrate God's promise to the king of complete victory over his enemies. 

After the king shot the arrows, Elisha disapproved of his actions; in fact Elisha became angry and told the king that he would not totally defeat his enemy and would only defeat them three times.

 When the Lord tells you to do something and you do it, it should be because you have faith in Him and in what he wants you to do, but many times even though we do something that we are told to do by the Lord, we don't always have the faith to complete the task we we told to do. We allow our fears and doubts to cloud our judgement. Many times we don't want to believe that God can do what He says He will do.

It's just easier to believe the doctor's report. It is just easier to go along with what everyone else is doing. It makes us feel content to do nothing, when doing something will take us out of our comfort zone, but the Lord never said that we would not have to go through some trials and tribulations. We are transformed by using our spiritual muscles, and you cannot grow as a christian by playing it safe.

In the passage above, the king obeyed with his mind, but he may not have agreed with God's word in his heart. Elisha said if the king had shot more arrows, in other words if he had believed whole heartedly and shot more arrows of victory as he was instructed to do, he would have won completely over his enemies. The reason that the Lord asks us to worship and praise Him in our toughest times, the reason that we must declare the victory before it happens is because we are getting our hearts in tune with God's word and then the victory manifests because we believe it before we see it.

Remember, that just because you see certain people who are christians living the christian lifestyle that does not mean that they truly believe in Jesus Christ. You can talk the talk and walk the walk and still be lost. It is what we believe in our hearts about Jesus that makes the difference, and the way we live our lives reflects our love for Him. If you love Him, you will believe in Him and you will live out your life for Him.

 I suspect that fear and doubt made the king in this scripture to hold back and be hesitant about the true nature of God's power and authority. Please do not let your own fears and doubts prevent you from doing what God is asking you to do, Bring your fears and worries to the Lord and ask Him to help you overcome them and to give you the strength to do what He has asked you to do, and He will answer your prayer.

 

Why We Need His Saving Grace

 Ephesians 2:8   

 
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,,,

If you keep on learning in life, you keep on living - Why do we need the saving grace of Jesus Christ? Because we cannot do for ourselves what He can do for us in our lives...

We are struggling to survive, but the struggle doesn't seem so bad until we get to the point where the struggle becomes very real in our hearts, when we see the real effects of sin and hate in the world, when we can see the effects of sin in our hearts...


I had a realization while trying to improve my health recently. I began taking a new supplement, and I was surprised by how well it worked and how quickly it worked to help my body. I realized that before I started taking the supplement, that my body was in need. I didn't realize how much it was in need until then.

I and my body were struggling to live because I did not have everything that I needed to live a productive life. I was in want and in need. I tried to do everything on my own, but I could not get the results that I was looking for.

As the body ages, it doesn't have the capacity to do what it did before. It stops producing all the elements that it needs to be healthy. It ramps down on bodily functions that were keeping it young.

That is what the gift of salvation does for your hearts and minds. Jesus's sacrificial gift allows us to heal the sickness of sin in our hearts. Sin is worse than an aging body, for an aging body can be helped, it can age gracefully, but an unrepentant heart cannot be fixed without the saving grace of Jesus's love. That heart will suffer and die and it will never be revived again.

When Jesus comes back for His church, He will revive us all; our bodies, our minds, our spirits will be in sync in a way that it cannot be while we live in this fallen world. They will be perfect and will live eternally in that state with the power and authority of the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.


Without the Blood of Jesus applied to your heart, you cannot survive in this world. You will always be in need, you will spend the rest of your life hungering and thirsting for something that you will never be able to achieve without His love, mercy and grace. Be at peace all you who have become His own, because you will never be without peace, joy, and fulfillment if you call on His Name every day....

Thank God for His saving grace!

Forgiveness Is A Decision That You Make To Manifest Jesus In Your Heart

Matthew 6:14-15

For if I forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], my heavenly Father will also forgive me. But if I do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will my Father forgive me my trespasses. [Forgiveness is a requirement. It is not an emotion or a feeling but a decision. It is not based on their deserving forgiveness any more than I deserved forgiveness. This does not mean I must trust the person. They must earn my trust. I choose to live in instant forgiveness!].

Forgiveness is a decision that we choose to do so that we can let go of our anger, pain, and resentment. We choose to let go so that we can be healed of our soul wounds and bitterness. Once we have chosen to forgive other people, our minds and hearts begin to clear as the Holy Spirit heals us.

We are able to have a close relationship with the Lord, and we are able to have relationships again with the people that have hurt us. We can guard our hearts from further hurt because we have given our hearts to God and His love and mercy brings peace and joy into our lives. We do not have to trust people with our hearts, but we can interact with them with the love of God as we are directed by the wisdom of God.

If they treat us better, then we can love them and interact with them more. If they hurt us again, we have the right to take that pain to God again for healing. We can limit our exposure to that person but still treat them with kindness and respect because we have the love of God in our hearts. We know that we cannot give them full access to our hearts again, but we handled the situation as Jesus Christ would have done, because Jesus loves all people, whether they be good or bad.

Remember to love God always, and to love yourself, for you are precious and valuable in His eyes and in the eyes of our precious Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His life as a living sacrifice to save you for himself. Jesus loves you, and we (the children of God) love you too...

Lord Jesus, I want to know your love and I want to come into the light of the kingdom of God. I accept you Lord Jesus into my heart and I repent of all of my sins. Lord show me how to live as a child of God and give me the power to instantly forgive those who transgress against me, and fill my heart right now with the Love of God.
